Sip and Paint Birmingham

Hosted at the Rose Villa Tavern in the Jewellery Quarter, this Sip and Paint event on Saturday 19th October invites you for a fun date day! With a paintbrush in one hand and a drink in the other, unleash your inner artist to re-create Gordon Bruce’s ‘Autumn Walk’ painting. A perfect mindful and relaxing activity for a rainy Autumn day! You will of course also get to take your work of art home with you. If you can’t make this date, this event will also be held at The Alchemist, Brindley Place on Wednesday 23rd October. A lovely post-work activity to do with a pal to wind down from the day!

Blank Street Coffee X Silver Tree Bakery

There’s a new café on the block and its Blank Street Coffee’s newest chain! Located just outside the Bullring on St. Martin’s Walk, it has certainly been a highly anticipated opening here in Birmingham following the chain’s huge success in London and Manchester, as well as over in New York where it was born. This autumn, they are offering cosy seasonal beverages such as a Banana Bread Matcha and a seasonal staple: the Pumpkin Spice Latte. What’s more, they have collaborated with local independent bakery, Silver Tree Bakery, meaning that you can pair your drink  with a fresh, homemade unique pastry from one of our favourite hidden gems here in Birmingham!

Autumn Treats at Silver Tree Bakery

As previously mentioned, we do strongly recommend visiting Silver Tree Bakery in its original location. Locals strongly claim this as the best bakery in the Midlands! Something straight out of a fairy-tale book, Silver Tree Bakery is a magical little bakery nestled in a woodland setting, meaning it just oozes Autumn vibes! Located on Water Orton Lane in Sutton Coldfield, you will happen upon a stunning serving of pastries, cruffins, meringues, tarts, sausage rolls, pies, freshly baked bread to quirky hot and cold beverages, all homemade and straight from the oven. We highly recommend visiting their Instagram page to view their exciting weekly and seasonal specials!

Visit the Picturesque Lickey Hills

Another stunning outdoor walk you must do throughout the seasonal months. Pop your woolly hat on, pull on a warm coat and have your flask of tea or coffee at the ready. The Lickey Hills is a stunning woodland oasis here just outside of Birmingham (just a 25-minute drive from Park Regis Birmingham). Take a stroll amongst the vibrant colours bursting around you and soak in the picturesque views you will be treated to. You can also opt to visit its neighbouring village, Barnt Green, where local pubs will welcome you to cosy up with a drink and bite to eat by a crackling log fire.
