This summer is set to be an exciting one as the 2024 sporting calendar heats up with multiple huge sporting events! With several significant events dominating this year’s sporting calendar – Euros 2024, the Olympics, the Paralympics, and Wimbledon – here’s all the key dates you need to know from the 2024 sporting calendar.
The Euros 2024
With the 2024 Euros officially begin on Friday 14th June with Scotland playing against Germany, England’s first game against Serbia will be kick-off on Sunday 16th June at 8pm BST.
The Euro 2024 will consist of 24 teams, who will be divided into 6 different groups of four sides, namely A, B, C, D, E, F. The group-stage games of the tournament will go on till June 27, with the intense knockout fixtures starting from June 29 with the Round of 16. European football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Harry Kane will be few of the names that will feature in the already prestigious and highly competitive Euro 2024.
Confirmed England Dates:
Sun 16th June: England V Serbia 8PM
Thurs 20th June: England V Denmark 5PM
Tues 25th June: England V Slovenia 8PM

The Olympic Games
The opening ceremony of the 33rd Olympic Games will be taking place in Paris. For the first time in The Olympics history, the opening ceremony will not be taking place in a stadium! It will be stunningly celebrated along the city’s River Seine. Running from the 26th July – 11th August, Paris 2024 will consist of around 10,500 athletes competing in 329 events across 32 sports.

The Paralympic Games
The Paralympic Games, which take place from 28th August – 8th September, will feature around 4,400 athletes competing in 549 events across 22 sports in 23 disciplines (with para cycling including two disciplines – track and road).

Wimbledon 2024
The 2024 Championships will take place between 1st July – Sunday 14th July. The women’s final will be played on Saturday, 13th July, followed by the men’s final on Sunday, 14th July.
Championships Schedule
The Championships begins with two days of Gentlemen’s and Ladies’ Singles matches before Gentlemen’s and Ladies’ Doubles start on Wednesday, and Mixed Doubles on Friday.
The Junior Championships (18 & under) will commence on Saturday 7 July, and in the second week competitions for wheelchair competitors and 14 & under juniors will take place alongside the invitation event.
